Nevenka joins with Another Mother For Peace to celebrate Women’s Day 2010 and its theme of equal opportunity and progress.

This presentation of Eastern European music, from a woman’s point of view, tells stories of the life cycle events – courtship, marriage, childbearing, loss — in ways that are poignant, joyful and humorous.

The program will include songs from Bulgaria, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Croatia, Bosnia, Georgia, Albania and the Rom (“Gypsy”) and Sephardic traditions.

Admission is $13.00 in advance (before Feb. 28) or $15 at the door
